Individual therapy: $180 per 50 minute session

Pay it forward / Solidarity fee: For those who have wealth to distribute, please consider paying $185-$225 per session. I am able to open more lower fee spots while sustaining my practice through the support of clients who pay my full or pay it forward/solidarity fees. Please let me know in the intake form or during our consultation appointment if you are interested in this fee structure. You can refer to Alexis J. Cunningham’s “Green Bottle” sliding scale model.

Sliding scale: I have a limited number of reduced fee spots in my practice. You can refer to Alexis J. Cunningham’s “Green Bottle” sliding scale model when considering this request. We can a sodiscuss what works best for you, and continue to engage in conversation about finances and accessing therapy.

  • I do not accept insurance at this time.

If you have out-of-network benefits, I am happy to provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider for full or partial reimbursement depending on your policy plan.

  • You will need to inquire with your insurance provider for more specific information. I can provide a superbill, which you would submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

Some questions you can ask your insurance provider:

    • Does my plan have out-of-network benefits for mental health care?

    • What is my out-of-network deductible for outpatient mental health? How much of my out-of-network deductible has already been met?

    • What is my out-of-network co-insurance (the amount your insurance company will reimburse you) for outpatient mental health?

    • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

    • What is my policy period?

    • What percentage of the psychotherapy services fee will be reimbursed to me?

    • Is approval required from my primary care doctor?

    • What is the process for getting reimbursed? How do I submit a claim for reimbursement?

    • How long do I have to submit my Superbill?

  • Currently, I only provide virtual, telehealth appointments via Doxy (a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform) or phone. If you are interested in in-person appointments, feel free to let me know.

  • If you would like to cancel or reschedule your session, I require 24-hour notice via email, voicemail, or text. The full fee of the session will be charged for late cancellations and missed appointments.

  • Under the No Surprises Act (effective January 1, 2022), you have the right to request and receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of how much your mental health care will reasonably cost. This is especially for clients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance to cover the charges for therapy. You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule your first session. It is not a commitment to therapy.

For more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
