College/Post-Grad Therapy
I work with young adults, those pursuing higher education (college, university, graduate school), and those transitioning out.
Working with this population and specific stage in life is a passion of mine - I actually tried therapy for the first time when I was an undergraduate student. From there, the trajectory of my personal and professional life was forever changed for the better.
Through my experience working in university counseling at UC Berkeley, I’ve worked with all kinds of students. Some clients find it helpful to have a consistent therapist they can see throughout the duration of their time in school and transitioning into post-grad life, while others are seeking therapy for short- to medium-term support. Some fall somewhere in the middle, where we follow the ebbs and flows of their life, meeting on a regular basis, and then as-needed, based on what feels most supportive. Together, we will find a balance of what works best for you and your needs.
I can support with:
Moving, relocating, roommate challenges, and associated stressors
Social anxiety
Romantic and platonic relationships (i.e. building and finding your communities, deepening relationships, making new friends, dating, etc.)
Family relationships
Trauma
Sexual assault/sexual violence
Alcohol and other drugs
Social Media use
Exploring life goals and passions
Self-sustainability and self-care
Identifying and advocating for your needs within the university setting
Transitioning out of the college environment
Letting go of others’ expectations of who you “should be”/what job you “should” be doing/what kind of life you “should” be living
Building your self-trust and recognizing your intuition and inner wisdom
